Scholars Education Announces Free Online Learning Program

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TORONTO, ON – March 17, 2020 – In these uncertain times with schools across the country closing their doors, Scholars is pleased to offer help to parents and children affected by COVID-19 and associated closures. Effective today, Scholars will be offering daily educational resources from our proprietary tutoring curriculum, free of charge.

Scholars Education is committed to educating children in any way possible. This remains true now. Founded by parents, Scholars Education understands the challenges parents are currently facing in this unique and unprecedented situation.

The qualified and experienced teachers and curriculum development team at Scholars have banded together to help assemble materials and activities to keep children learning through school closures. This includes facilitating the Scholars Cares Essay Writing Competition set to begin next week and will award $10,000 worth of scholarships to students who show exemplary writing skills.

“As a mother of two children, I know what it’s like to have the girls around the house 24/7. I know we can make something positive out of the current school closures, and am thrilled that the Scholars Cares program is handing out $10,000 in scholarships from the upcoming essay writing competition,” Dr. Danielle Glista, Advisory Board Chair of Scholars Education says.

Parents of children in kindergarten to grade 8 will have the opportunity to receive daily emails with both educational and recreational activities to help children prepare for the competition and facilitate continued learning. Both parent and child will be able to explore a different theme every day with activities like reading and writing stories, watching instructional videos, solving math problems, and more. These resources aim to keep children engaged, stimulated, and learning during their time away from school.
